We’re passionate about basketball
Ticino’s basketball gyms are the property of the Regional and Cities authorities, who are enthusiastic about the project and have assured us of their political and logistical support. We have 28 buildings, with 28 to 33 courts (28×15 and 26×14). The number of games that can be played is around 1,100–1,300, which means that between 350 and 450 teams could participate in the Championship. In addition to these courts, we can utilize, if necessary, another four to six infrastructures with four to eight additional courts (1,300–1,600 total games).

TRANSPORTATION. How to reach Ticino
Arriving by car: From the North, four passes lead to Ticino: St Gotthard, Nufenen, St Bernhard and Lukmanier. The roads are impeccably maintained and it is worth taking your time to admire the wonderful landscapes you will pass through on your journey. During the winter, some of the passes are closed, but Ticino remains accessible by road, through its main gateway from the North, the St Gotthard tunnel.
Arriving by plane: The international airports of Milano Linate, Milano Malpensa and Milano Orio al Serio are all reachable from Ticino in less than one hour, and about 2 hours from Zurich airport by train. Lugano-Agno Airport, located south of the Alps, between Zurich and Milan and just a few kilometres from Lugano city centre, can be reached by private traffic.
Arriving by train: The Swiss Federal Railway network SBB, links Ticino to the major European cities and can be reached directly from Basel, Zurich and Milan.
